Boys Field Day

I was able to volunteer for the boys Field Day. I'm so glad they decided to do it in April before it gets too hot! It seemed like they had a lot of activities this year. Jonah said he had a BLAST! The best part...no homework : ) Jonah...what a crack head!

Strawberry Pickin'

Today we continued a tradition of picking strawberries. We do this every year. Usually with the Del Priore clan. Today we had Pop,Lizzy+kids, Ethan and Rebekah+kids, and me and my girls. This is Amber in front of the sign there. The weather was beautiful!! Not hot and not cold, but very SUNNY.

Dinner and a Movie

Happy Birthday to me! Roc is out of town, so it was just me and the kidlets tonight. We decided to have some fun tonight, so we rented a movie and picked up pizza. This was a noble attempt at trying to get all 5 of us in a self-portrait!!

Easter Part 1

Rocco's family had a tradition where the Easter Bunny hides the kids baskets. So, of course we wanted to continue this tradition. This is Amber,Giana,Jonah, & Ethan.

Home Improvement-don't try this at home!

We got an amazing deal on some laminate flooring. I've been waiting for this for 3 years! Rocco's brothers came over to help and harass. They had a lot of good times (I don't know if they'd call it fun.)! We are so grateful for everyone's help. Roc and I agree that we're so blessed with good friends and family.

Breakfast in Bed

Ok, so yesterday I woke up and we were just hanging out in bed with an occasional kid. This is pretty normal for a Saturday morning. When up comes Amber with a bowl of cereal. We told her that she needed to take it back downstairs. Her reply was "But Mama I made this for you". Which completely melted us. I'll remember this forever. Rewind 20 years...my sis, myself, and friends use to make it frequent practice to serve misc. mothers breakfast in bed. It brought me back. I thought it was cool, especially b/c I've never ever told Amber about that. "little mama"

Did the Tooth Fairy come?

Jonah lost his first tooth at school yesterday. When he woke up this morning, he noticed the Tooth Fairy didn't come. Honestly-I forgot to remind him to put it under the pillow. SO, I asked if he did. Of course "no". We explained to him that the Tooth Fairy has a lot of houses to visit. She can't go looking for the tooth! Then he said: "I thought you would do it Mama". Aww! He does play the blame game a lot, but I couldn't help but think...I guess I'm always worrying about everything. He expects me to look out for him. I suppose it's just nice that someone notices every once in a while.

Giana has taken on her mom's old habits! When I was a little girl, I sucked my thumb and would rub fabric with my first two fingers. Giana hasn't showed any little quirks like my other kids have until NOW! She likes to rub mom's shirts and all things silky (ilky). I just think it's cool that she picked up the same habit all on her own.
