20 Year Tag...finally!

20 years ago (1988)

I, too had a hard time remembering much. I turned 8 years old, and was baptized with my cousin. We sang in the program. I'm sure I was playing with my brother a lot (tom boy). Oh, I started doing my own laundry. Com'on, how many 8 year olds do you know that do this?! We stayed at home alone, thanks to being really good kids. I don't think I'll be doing that with Ethan, however it's a different world.

10 years ago (1998)

I was 18. I graduated from homeschool. Graduated Seminary. Received my Young Womanhood Recognition. Started at Midlands Tech. Started beauty school...decided it wasn't for me and then dropped out. Kind of became a wife in training, thanks to basically living with my friend who had a baby and was trying to reactivate into the church. Told my dad that I should move to Utah or something, b/c I'd never find someone out here (hello! I was only 18!!). Honestly, I think that I sensed a change b/c 3 months later Rocco came home.

5 years ago (2003)

I had Jonah. I was living with my inlaws while Rocco was in college. We moved into the trailor behind their house. We loved that minus the stupid rooster that insisted on coming to our window in the morning and waking us up. I was the Ward Activation Specialist (always doin' missionary work!) My friend and I had a preschool program going. I potty trained Ethan. Oh, and was married for 4 years...it's amazing what 5 years will bring!

1 year ago (2007)

I was just called as Young Women's President 1 month beforehand, and was scrambling to figure this huge undertaking out! Needless to say, the Lord humbled me big time! I successfully brought the Young Women together in unity. I went to Youth Conference 8 months pregnant in the Summer! I had Giana...4th and last. Continued to juggle a newborn, and and intense calling. Our ward boundaries changed completely! Got to know a new group of girls, fell in love. Started really getting my life together. Who would've know that 4 kids would've done that!

So far this year...

We had a huge monetary blessing from the Lord, when we were in a really bad situation. That's what paying your tithing on a leap of faith will do for you! We've taken our kids to Disney World, and to Charleston,SC. Giana turned 1!! I sang in Sacrament meeting. I embarked on my Personal Progress journey for the 2nd time.

Today

I took Rocco, to Pop's to fix my piece which apparently has a different problem other than the radiator that they already fixed. Amber peed her pants, so we came home to get more clothes. Which continued on to running errands to get ready for Girl's Camp. I'm cleaning for UFC. Everyone is coming over here tonight for it.

Tommorrow

I'll go to church, run around like a chicken with her head cut off. Hopefully try to throw together a class presidency meeting, since our leader has left us. Attend BYC/BSED...church meetings, and hopefully finally get to enjoy my hubby's company(he was just gone for 1 week learning to make sausage for work).

In the next year...

I hope to finish my Personal Progress. Go on the 2009 Trek. Celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversary (Rocco knows he's supposed to come up with a cool trip). I'll have 2 kids in school-Yay! Maybe start potty training Gigi so that I can graduate from the diaper phase. Hopefully visit my 'peeps' in Vegas thanks to Little Frankie going on a mission RIGHT?!! Continue to try to be a better Mom, so that I can have a close relationship with them. Oh yeah, and have them be contributing members of society.lol

Now, tag Tiffany and Tyson.

4th of July

Well, we had a nice 4th. We started it at Erin's parents house on the Lake. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and boat rides. Rocco tried to water ski again (they always end up forgetting a piece of equiptment). We had some AWESOME food.
We took the party over to Pop's where it started out as a huge afair, and ended up as a smaller group. Which was fine. We still got to play our games. We took an intermission from that to shoot off fireworks, which almost didn't happen due to rain. Although between our's and Ethen's kids, I couldn't help but look around and ask them where the rest of their cousins were. They responded with a blank stare, and I had to remind them of everyone we were MISSING! (XOXO)
All in all, we had a great day making memories with our kids. That is what made it a great day!

Sand Dunes Club, Sullivan's Is.

Saturday, we were able to go play in the water! We headed to the water park first. I love to see the children go down the water slide...they're so little! Then we walked up to the beach. That was a lot of fun! I wish I brought my camera for that. Giana was crawling all in the water. I kept trying to turn her towards the shore, but NO, she wanted to go IN the ocean!
The kids had fun, they love to hunt for sea shells. But today was even better, b/c there were dead crabs everywhere! On the way out, Rocco found a horseshoe crab in the dunes. (dead) They were all begging me to bring it home...which would've made for an interesting ride home!!

June 26th

We celebrated Giana's 1st Birthday! The day started with a trip
to the Library, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Then we went to
Toys R Us for a shopping spree! The pics are of her taking a bath
with her new bathtub toys. We also got more sippy cups and
ended it with a baby swing to go on our playset. Uncle Robert
got some pics of her in that. To finish out the day, we went to
Applebee's as a family. More to come on the party which was on
Sunday...

Rocco's tile job

I'm finally getting around to posting a pic of Rocco's tile job
that everyone so wanted to see! This was in our bathroom.

Uncle Rocco and Aunt Josephine

"Where's my sauce?!" Pop ordered Papa John's pizza for everyone who came over. Apparently Uncle Roc spilled the garlic butter on himself. We got some good laughs from that!

We had a great time playing games. We played the usual...Mexican train, the Pirates game, and greedy. Everyone kept commenting on how loud it was (even Wesley), to which we replied-"This is nothing"! Johnny, Rosemary, and Charlotte were there too in addition to the siblings. The kids got to play with some of their 2nd? cousins and they had a ball! We finally left around midnight.

Of course we had to take advantage of documenting this occasion. Who knows how many more we'll have. I was telling everyone at church how we have 6 living Rocco's.
